Foundational research

LLM Wiki through the lens of sensemaking — evaluation & design direction Evaluates Karpathy's LLM Wiki against the seven sensemaking leverage points (Pirolli & Card, 2005), identifies the bottlenecks it leaves unsolved, and derives the design direction now being built into the product. 2026-07 · Foundational research · Written in Korean

Design Foundations

LLM-wiki (A. Karpathy). An LLM generates knowledge but does not retain it. Only when the output of conversation accumulates into a persistent wiki does it become a personal knowledge asset. This is the basis for automatic accumulation and organization of conversation.
Sensemaking (Pirolli & Card, 2005). Understanding is formed through a loop of information foraging and structuring; performing both at once is hard. This is the basis for automating the structuring so the user can stay on the thinking.
MindTrellis. Knowledge structures are built by co-creation through human–AI interaction. This is the basis for the flow in which conversation becomes material and related knowledge surfaces alongside it.
